When first starting out, there are SO many different paths to take, and I hadn't even considered the tax specialist topic. It's definitely something I need to think about this year. I appreciate how concisely you explained everything. When I see tax advice, my eyes usually glaze over LOL.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4529426706716739226.post-90174313013366763422008-12-10T20:55:00.000-04:002008-12-10T20:55:00.000-04:00Once it becomes a "chore", then it's time to eithe...Once it becomes a "chore", then it's time to either take an extended break or hang up the quill. However the icing on the cake is Harper serving up the poison pill of taxpayer dollars being taken away to pay the political bills and they couldn't swallow it.

Any lingering thoughts that the Liberals haven't been drifting further left for a while is put to rest with them getting solidly into bed with the NDP and looking for a nightcap with the Bloc. The infighting à la COR should be fun to watch though as it self destructs. Too bad we'll have to pay such a high price for the show.Spinkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10044519689330008751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4529426706716739226.post-25806739378134308102008-12-01T20:15:00.000-04:002008-12-01T20:15:00.000-04:00Spinks: if you believe the NDP tapes, the talk of ...Spinks: if you believe the NDP tapes, the talk of coalition has been going on much longer than political subsidies have been on the table. The Conservatives told us so today.

I also think words like coup shouldn't be used in this context. A Coalition take-over would be completely constitutional. A coup d'etat is not. Regardless of what you think of the Lib-NDP marriage of convenience, one shouldn't whip up a sense of illegality.Independenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12613179250500913032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4529426706716739226.post-1540774819450816902008-12-01T19:59:00.000-04:002008-12-01T19:59:00.000-04:00It didn't hurt Bob Rae when he latched himself ont...It didn't hurt Bob Rae when he latched himself onto Peterson in '85.

Could we be seeing Canadians taking the plunge with the NDP in bad economic times once again, much like Ontario did.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4529426706716739226.post-88797867842362045732008-12-01T19:10:00.000-04:002008-12-01T19:10:00.000-04:00Does anyone truly believe if the ecomomic statemen...Does anyone truly believe if the ecomomic statement hadn't of including cutting political susbsidies that a coalition wouldn't even be on the table? This is about the Liberals and NDP being not financially stable unless they're getting taxpayer handouts. While I can appreciate self survival, the bloodless coup is the death knell for the Liberals next election (and won't do wonders for the NDP either).Spinkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10044519689330008751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4529426706716739226.post-40475697467779784212008-12-01T16:38:00.000-04:002008-12-01T16:38:00.000-04:00I am all for cutting the subsidies because we are ...I am all for cutting the subsidies because we are giving the BLOC money to promote separation. It seems that the Media seemed to really help out swaying the opinions of non informed Canadians. I think that the Gov. made sincere moves to tighten the belts of the public sector as example to all. Funny thing is that the civil servants didn't want any part of being in the solution rather they intend to continue to gauge the public purses. I say shame on them but once you spoil a group of people it is hard to tell them that bc they somehow think they have a right to it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4529426706716739226.post-55902705958317663582008-11-30T18:52:00.000-04:002008-11-30T18:52:00.000-04:00Not sure that is the case anon. Actually, his government did a more then adequate job of getting out in front of this recession by cutting value added taxes (the UK is now proposing this) and reducing taxes both personal and business. Thus, allowing people and companies with more money at the end of the day to do as they please.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4529426706716739226.post-82437744161617284382008-11-29T20:59:00.000-04:002008-11-29T20:59:00.000-04:00Thanks to Harper they may have to back down on a f...Thanks to Harper they may have to back down on a few more ideological proposals before this is all over.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
